CHINESE ELEMENTS

In Chinese culture, there is a theory called The Five Elements Theory. This theory, or philosophy, explained actions and interactions among people. The Five Elements are Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal. Between 770 BC and 476 BC, these five elements were beginning to be seen in fortune-telling, philosophy, medicine, and more.

Whatever element a person may have, it conveys a trait they have. For example, someone with a lot of Wood, may be stubborn and persuasive, while someone with a lot of Water is flexible and affected by what people say. A person with the Metal Element may be self-contained, but also very assertive. The Fire Element is usually associated with being tense and bold. Lastly, people with Earth are determined and on-task to succeed. For more information, click the button below!
